Jasper is Gone

Oh gosh, I haven't been on here in a few weeks. I am terribly sad to come back to this news. I am so very sorry for your loss of Jasper. He was such a special boy, definately one of my favorites here on bd.org and your love for him always showed. He was a lucky boy to have such a good mom. My heart truely goes out to you. I'm so very sorry.

Oh boy did it ever!

My hubby is out of town working when he called me last night I told him about Jasper. I couldn't be possitive but by the change in his voice I'd say he may have shed a few tears as well. My entire family has enjoyed looking at Mr. Grumpy in his wonderful outfits. And I always share his little stories and pic's with my youngest son Richard and my grandson Freddie. I was hesitant to tell Richard and Freddie about the bad news because they love Jasper, they are always wanting to check out his pic's and when they do I always get to hear those such sweet little laughters come out of them. I did break down and told Richard (12) last night he cried as if he had lost his own pet. Richard wanted me to tell Jasper's Mom that he is praying for you and for you not to worry about Jasper, as he is now in beardie heaven with lots of great beardies. He hopes that Rocky,Junior, and Ms. Peaches will be good friends with him.

I know it's hard to see it this way but you need to realize that Jas taught you alot. He touch your heart in ways different than any creature before him. This is something that in time as the pain subsides you will be grateful for. I'm slowly learning myself that they are a gift and we are very lucky to beable to feel the love we do. So it is truely something to be grateful for, so many people in the world aren't able to feel that kind of love.

I'm not 100% sure, because he was a rescue, but the vet estimated that he was approximately 1.5 years old when I brought him home. I had him for 2.5 years, so that would have made him roughly 4 years old. He can't have been much younger, but there is certainly the possibility that he was older.

Thank you again to everyone for being so wonderful. I knew that you would help me through this. Today has been a hell of a day, and reading the posts in this thread have really helped.

I am totally doing this ATM...It brings the reality into my life that at any given moment Dudlee could be taken from me You are so strong, and you will get through this.

2+ weeks ago when Redrock died. You will miss him for a long while.

I'm so very sorry for your loss of Redrock I didn't even realize redrock was gone until this morning.

An yes you will miss Jasper as beardie parents will miss Redrock for a long time. I lost Rocky in March an I still cry several times a week. It does help to ease the pain if you have a nother loving little beardie to care for. If Rocky would have been my only beardie it would have been so much worse. Darn beardies are so lovable.

I am sorry for your loss, It is unfortunate that it was so sudden. Luckily Jasper was well loved by everyone, and couldn't have possibly had a better mom. You were the greatest mom that a Super Jasper could ever ask for!! He will be greatly missed.
