Jace, Zy, Sorin, Ava, Nissa, & Koth -->Update 12-18 w/ Pics

I'm relatively new to this website, though I have posted questions prior to this "blog." I fell in love with bearded dragons on a trip to Petco. I've always wanted a reptile and I have a dragon statue collection at home so it seemed perfect. Jace, however, was not my first beardie. My first beardie was one of the two smaller ones. The employees hadn't gotten around to putting on of the little ones up for adoption because he would have a seizure whenever he was picked up. They were pretty sure the one I had picked wasn't the seizure one. I bought him the Wednesday before Thanksgiving and am sad to say I returned him that following Monday. This one had seizures whenever he was put down. I knew, being a new owner, that it would be better for the both of us if I returned him to Petco and that was when I got Jace, the love of my life. On a side note, the two that suffered from seizures got adopted to loving homes where someone can take care of them . Anyways, on to my picture show.

This was my first night with Jace. He no longer has that cage - he is in a bigger one and on tiles instead.

The first week montage:

I loved the way he just dug a bed and curled up.

He was so little!

This is his new cage - the sand in the dig bowl has been replaced with flaxseed

So I woke up this morning and looked over to see Tess crawling out of her cave. I think she is confused. :lol: Especially since my room was bright with natural sunlight.

Bought 100 horns and 100 horn eggs. I feel poor.

I didn't even think of this until just now, but I have a lot of dubia nymphs so maybe she will try them.

I'm just going to keep editing this post instead of posting 1000 mini posts :lol:

Paul goes into my room and Squeaker is hiding. I go in my room and she's sitting at the mouth of the cave looking at me. Paul comes in and she goes into hiding. I think I have found my leopard gecko

So I've been an ***** all around today

I thought my liquid vitamin and calcium had expired and ran to Petco to get that along with Repashy for the leos and skink. Came home to find out the vitamins and calcium don't expire until 2015. Then, upon looking closer into the electrolytes and acidophiluz+ I realized they are supposed to be refrigerated after opening. So those are bad.... Ugh. So much wasted money.

So I went to Tracy and Cheryl's website to compare prices and right now Cheryl is having a sale. Both of them for $9.50 so I ended up getting it from there.

They show up like that at first. You have to give the comp a little and it will resize them. Does it to me every time :lol:

So I scrubbed Jace's viv clean with the pink stuff from bd.co. It's took about 20min to clean everything and he sat on the back of my couch, staring out the window which I opened for him. He's such a good boy and I love him. I'm waiting the 10 minutes with him before he can go back in. He keeps looking at me like Didi looks at Deb: "You aren't taking me away from this, are you?" :lol:

Tess is consistently coming out whenever I am in the room. I've done it six times now and only one time was she not out. I have no idea what it means. She is such a weird little leo.

Zy's viv got a remodel.

The bridge is safe. I tested it with a book that ways well over 1000g.

Too bad I will be getting rid of it for slate when I get the new viv. :lol:

Repashy smells like crushed up Flintstone vitamins powdered up.

Slate for all four cages and of course a 1/2" of sand under the slate for the leos. Doesn't look like Ava has many nails left though from all of her bad sheds. Poor baby.

Aw, poor Ava. I'm always looking at Mylo's toes to make sure I didn't miss a shed. It's actually quite stressful :?

Toe sheds are the worst.

I trim Myah's nails but actually like feeling Mylo's sharp little nails. Let's me know they're doing ok. Still, I'm pretty lucky. Mylo really loves his moist hide. What does Ava have for a humid hide?
