I have just started going to in-person classes, something I have not done for months now. My beardie is so stressed out with these changes that he won’t bask, eat, poop, or do anything but sit in his cave when I’m gone. As soon as I get home, he’s “happy” and acts perfectly fine (he’ll eat and bask, etc.). I know these guys can’t really get “attached” or have “separation anxiety”, it’s just his routine changing. I just don’t want him to get sick, or have this affect his health. This has been going on for about 2 weeks, and I’m worried about him. It’s been a week since he’s pooped, so I’ll give him a nice bath and I’ll keep an eye on him. Is there anything I should make sure happens or something I can do to help him?
Ok! Sounds good! As soon as I get home, I take him out and let him relax. He’s perfectly fine then. Will him staying in his cave all day affect his health?
It can but as long as he's basking part of the day he will be fine-- is he sleeping or just hanging out? Mine will hang out in the door of the hide
