Issue with Jowls (or whatever you call the two lumps on their face)

Hi all, I am reaching out here because I have been very concerned about my baby bearded dragon's jowls, I'm not sure what his exact age is but I want to estimate ~5 months or so (he sat in a store for a while till we got him) and we have had him since March, we recently noted his Jowls have jutted out and that they feel firm, there is also a strange lump that is now forming between them, which isn't helping with the stress, the strange thing is he still acts like himself, is any of these two things normal? Our adult bearded dragon never had these issues when they were little. I've already booked a vet appointment though it'll take a week for them to see him, my biggest concern is if he can make it till then, I attached two photos.

Thank you.

It may just be a strange ,excessively large jowl area but is more likely to be a possible infection. He should be fine until the vet visit, although it's worrisome it's good that he's still active and not showing any signs of distress.

Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
Getting ready for another day. Feeling sleepy. 😴
I just walked into my room and instead of looking at me, Swordtail's eyes darted directly to the ice cream drumstick I'm holding
Finally replaced Swordtail's substrate
I miss you so much, Amaris 💔
