Zillas had this for a while and im not sure if its bad or just there but i've poked it a little and he doesn't care so im wondering if hes just too skinny or what? Only happens when he stands btw,his beely sags a little, when he's lieing down i can't see it,im probably just over worrieing lol
As long as he has good fat stores on his head and tail base, I wouldn't worry about it. They don't store as much fat in their rib areas. My boy is a chubba, and I can still feel his little ribs when I hold him.
Very interesting....I had wondered about those fat bumps behind their eyes...My female's are very pronounced/big and my boy Thor's..not so much...She is a total pig so guess that explains it!
The fat stores usually aren't very noticable until they are adults, because when they are babies they require so much energy that they usually don't have much fat left to store LOL. So if one of your beardies is older than the other, its fat stores will be more obvious.
Beardies head structures differ greatly....some do not have the big pads on top of their head, so that is not always actually an indicator of anything. Just like some have more bulgy eyes. Just look on some websites where they feature alot of their breeders, and you will see....they have variety of shapes and sizes !
