Is this fixture ok for a ceramic heat emitter?

I recently ordered a ceramic heat emitter and I was wondering if a fixture for a regular heat bulb is ok. It also has a dimmer.

You want a dome that is deep and has a ceramic socket - make sure you get a wattage over what your going to use for the bulb wattage -- example 100 watt bulb you want a 150 or 160 wattage dome

I got one that specifically said that it works with ceramic heat emitters. The wattage is 250, which is a bit more than I need, but it should still work.

250 is a lot - what are you using it for and is that the dome wattage or bulb?

The dome is 250 watts, but it is for an 100 watt ceramic heat emitter.
