After almost a month on not pooping, he finally pooped today. It has a LONG process with him. He is 5 years old and very spoiled. We recently adopted him a month ago. He was only wanted superworms and no greens. We have been working hard to fix his diet.
This past week I have been weighing him twice a day. He has been gaining weight. He started at 390 grams got up to 405 grams. I knew he would lose some weight from pooping but he dropped down to 385 grams. Is this normal?
Yeah that's no problem. A big poop will do that. It's probably best to offer some more fiber to get him to go more frequently though. Try cutting squash into superworm shapes and see if he goes for those.
