I just got several young adult Beardies and one is like this with the silver/gray head and the band of the same color near the tail. The other one is aTll silver and gray. The 3 other sibs I got are typical looking. I dont know enough about naturally occuring colors or selective bred colors to know if this is something special. Thanks in advance for any feedback.

Oh, sheddy do da. I think it is neat how when one part of the body wants to shed before the others the will get a distinct line at dividing the area that is about to shed. Many of us have dragons that shed in stages and it looks like yours sheds head first. Mine has one thigh that sheds after the rest of her legs. It looks really funny when everything is light and from the knee up of her right back leg you see a bright colored thigh.
When a bearded dragon sheds its skin first turns that silver color. This can last a while as Ethelia experienced with Ruben When the skin is ready to come off it will start to peel. But first it will be that silver color for a few days or even a few weeks
