So due to my work schedule i am not able to maintain a 3 times a day feeding schedule for my juvenile beardie, so after being told the recommended amount of live insects to feed every meal is 10-20 insects, I've have been setting out a bowl with 60ish dubia roaches in the morning to allow him to feed through out the day. The bowl they are in is tall enough that they cant escape (unless he knocks it over) and short enough for him to lean over and get his fill. Could a feeding schedule like this cause serious problems?
I'd reserve the roaches for the morning and evening meals .
I'd use :
>> blowfly gents
>> BSF lavae
>> silkworms up to 1" long for a hatchling
these can be left in a suitable feeding dish during the day for the hatchling to eat it's leisure.
