i have a 40 gallon tank, 36"Lx18"Wx18"H, the temperature is usually between 90 and 100, depending on my room temperature. I also have the repti sun 10.0 UVB Compact Fluorescent Lamp along with the Repti Basking Spot Lamp 100w. I also have my day/night timer set to a 13/11 cycle.
Looks good so far. My recommendation is to get of the repti sun 10.0 UVB Compact bulb and get the repti sun 10.0 linear bulb. Make sure its long linear tube that's at least 2/3 of your terrarium. Also, would get a digital probe for measuring humidity and temperature. What a cute little guy you have there too
The CFL bulbs aren't good. That should be replaced ASAP with a UVB tube bulb, something like a Reptisun T8 10.0 or Reptisun T5 5.0 based on the size of that enclosure.
Also, the enclosure needs more light in general. You should also add another light. See the "full spectrum" lighting thread: viewtopic.php?f=34&t=235017
The hammock is also not good, I'd remove that.
This looks like a 20 gallon or 30 gallon tank. You should plan on replacing this within a few months, since these guys grow really fast when properly cared for, and he'll soon be too big for most of the items in the tank and the tank itself.
Hi there....you did a beautiful job setting up your 40 gal. tank which can be his permanent home. When he gets near adult size you might opt for something bigger but as long as he comes out for a free roaming time at least a few times a week it's fine.
The lights could be better....as was suggested the compacts generally don't project quite enough uvb down in the tank.....not your fault, they are sold in nearly every pet store with the kits. And the hammock can snag the nails + cause a hurt foot in some dragons, and again it's the stores that push these as a good option.
But your other cage decor looks great and I can see the little dude hanging out on his basking rock.
