So my little girl (well, not that little, she's 3 years old and about 2 feet long) has been eating a TON, gotten really moody, and she's getting really big in the belly aria. She's never been this big before. I'm wondering if she's gravid. She layer infertile eggs about a month ago, and she's been with my male a couple times, but I didn't see anything happen.
I would say she is definitely gravid. Those are great pictures of her, too. She is long, isn't she?
Her belly is definitely round though, LOL. Is she still eating anything right now?
Where is the laybox located at, did you put it in her tank?

She is still eating a ton. Seven large crickets, five super worms (2 inches long maybe) and lots of collared greens. I have a 10, maybe 15 gallon tub with sand on it. I keep it in my closet. She is on sand, so I'll know when she is ready to lay. The tub is too heavy to put her in the cage, so i think I'll just put her in it when she is ready.
She mated with my male today, so now I know for sure she'll be gravid. SOOOOOO EXCITED!!!!!
This is the first time that they were together, then?
If they actually mated, then she should have fertile eggs, in 4-5 weeks, roughly, maybe less if she was already developing eggs.
How is she doing today? It sounds like she is eating quite a bit now. Make sure she gets some extra calcium daily, to help her out right now with developing eggs.
I put calcium powder on her greens every day. I've put my two together a few times before, but this is the first time I've actually seen them mate. They could have done it before when I wasn't present, but I don't think so. She is still eating a lost, and still acting moody. She puff up sometimes and her beard even turns black, which I've never seen her do before. Today she is acting pretty calm. I decided to try and put the lay box in her cage since I didn't know when she was going to lay, but it was too heavy. Instead I scooped out all the sand in piled it in one corner. The other night she was scratching around at the corners and made a few holes, but no laying yet. I hope I get eggs soon!
