I'm looking for advice on seeing if my bearded dragon Dexter is obese or getting fat??
I've kept him on the same diet for awhile now. But I recent took in a female bearded dragon Mushu. She is so tiny and skinny compared to dexter. She's 5yrs old!
Dexter is only about 8-9 months old and he's 18 1/2 inches
This is Dexter! He seems happy. He gets a full salad in the morning and then fed crickets/roaches when I get home at night.
He poops/pees about every 2-3 days
I haven't been able to weigh him yet.
-in the pictures he had just ate-
Dexter looks good from the pics and hes going into a shed--- the pic w/ the dragon in the background is that the other dragon or a reflection of him? Also your not going to house them together are you? Dragons should never be housed together

Dexter looks healthy to me. Maybe /slightly/ chunky, but there's nothing wrong with that - I'm a lil' chunky too  He's certainly not thin, at least.
For a better measure you actually want to get a picture of him from the side while he is standing/walking, like this:
That's Guac, and in that picture he is on the low/thin side of a healthy weight I think. Like, really towing the line on "too skinny", but not dangerously or concerningly so. Thankfully, he's put on a few grams since then.
You do want to watch for obesity in pets, though. A side pic would be great to give better info.
Oh goodness no! I'm not going to house them together. Or even let them be in eye distance since they're opposite genders.
Thats just the reflection of dexter in the last picture.
I will try to get a good side picture of him tonight!
