Yea I’m not ready to sleep with it yet because I feel I might be a wild sleeper but I was concerned on the illness part because it’s so young thanks for your knowledge 🥹Awww it's adorable- whatever it will turn out to be!!! So while there's some controversy around this, as long as you don't harm the beardie, than you should be okay- More than illness, it's usually the fear of safety-
Will you roll over and harm it during the middle of the night (unintentionally)?
Will you wake up and forget it's there-
If you are questioning yourself and illness is the first thought...I suggest erring on the side of caution, letting it get a little bigger and deciding later. Your journey has just started and if you do things correctly aka to the best of your ability, you will have plenty of time for snuggles- and not just at night! good luck!
It is OK for your beardie but dont let the beardie get in your face. You could get sick because of bacteria and so forth from the beardie being spread to you.I was playing with him/her (haven’t found out gender yet but it snuggled on me and fell asleep I just want to make sure it won’t get sick or anything bad
Gotcha seems like u take awseome care of ur beardies. The people I know would get sick from putting their beardies into thier faces.Could get sick and will get sick are 2 different things. I've been keeping dragons for 8 years, zero times have they made me sick. This is how 3 out of 5 have wanted to sleep. You have to keep their habitat clean and keep them clean. Your as likely to catch something from your dogs or cats, and more likely to catch something from your kids.
Now you make me want two beardies again- you make me sick!! LOL (I am joking everyone, this is my buddy) Look at the snuggles LOL I love it!Could get sick and will get sick are 2 different things. yeah me & my Letty-snuggle all the time-but yet she is still scared sometimes of me i think.. we do best whn she falls asleep in her little hat i made a bed- u can carry her around on my chest in it-but in the morning she’s like nope & kinda runs from me. but tonite im thinkn shes coming around- she was just staring at me as i was singing to her.. she’s my loveSo I am still not at the point where Rocky can sleep on me. We have cuddle time and today, I said I would wait closer until his bedtime and just see what happens...well @xp29 Rocky let me cuddle then when I pretended I was a sleep, he totally booked it for his enclosure. Ummm I don't think that's how it's supposed to work. Part of me think it could be trust but since I brought Rocky home, when I go to sleep, he would run to his hammock.* I feel so rejected! @Pat26_ Rocky is 6 months, (7 months in a few days), so he's a little bigger and does what he wants. So Rocky will probably be 2 years old when I get to say we had our moment, lol
In the meantime, I will enjoy the cuddles...earlier in the day!
*He ran to his swing.
Now THAT"S dedication!I have had to pee really bad for the last 2 hours. However Nessie the baby is asleep on me, and I don’t want to wake him up, so bladder infection it is.
