He eats really well in the morning, but if I offer him crickets in the afternoon he eats maybe one...Is this bad?

Also I offer him veggies and he eats them occasionally

I've had mine for about 2 months, and he was 2 months old when I got him, so he's about 4 months old now...he ate like crazy this morning, I'll try and feed him again this afternoon :p

Glad to hear he ate like crazy for you this morning.
At that age you want him to eat live feeders atleast 2 to 3 times a day an you can leave the salad out incase he gets hungry in between feedings while your not home.

How long have you had your beardie?
I ask because beardies go thru what we call relocation stress. This can happen when you first get them and will last until the new beardie becomes accustom and comfortable in their new home. Also if you change anything in their environment they will stress. During the time when they are going thru the relocation stress it is most likely they won't have such a good appetite. However when your beardie is settled in it should be eating you out of house and home.

thanks for letting me know. cuz i was getting a little worried. this is the third day he's rejected food. so yea. i just got him a little under a week ago. this lets me rest a little more easy. so i just need to offer him food daily and wait for him to get settled in right?

Yep! You want to offer your beardie some water too. By dropping droplets off her nose letting it run to his mouth he may lap it that way. They don't always drink from standing water. You could also offer a bath in lukewarm or 95* water up to his shoulders. Placing a wash cloth in the bottom of the sink or plastic tub might help him feel more secure as his feet won't be sliding apart. That's the best way to make sure your beardie is getting enough hydration.

You can also try to speed the process up it may or maynot work....but place an old shirt, pillow case, something with your smell on it in with him...that will help him to get your scent. I've done it in the past an it did work for me.

Currently trying not to stress over my anemic dragon....she is being treated, but I don't agree with her treatment plan and have been seeking out a second opinion from another vet. If anyone else has dealt with anemia, please let me know how it was resolved. I am losing sleep over this
Another post lol. My beardie does not like enclosures. Her tank is the kids room and she has created a nesting/bed spot in the corner. She will cuddle with my son but she know when the lights are out and the kids go to sleep, she literally goes to her bed like she is our 3rd baby. I love her. And to think, I never wanted a beardie lol
Please help. My beardie is my baby and I am worried she may be egg bound but I can't tell. She is over 2 yrs old and has never laid an egg. She has been swollen for two days and can't tell if she may be impacted or egg bound. Please help.
I'm still looking to adopt. I live near Homerville Georgia.
