Is food rotting inside a beardie’s tummy during brumation a myth or a fact?

Just a general question, I’ve seen a lot of differing opinions on many topics, but this one perplexes me the most. Some people seem very concerned with this, others say it’s a myth. I can’t find any real evidence of food “rotting” in a beardies tummy from a quick google search, most just warn about the possibility of it. I’m wondering if this is true and something that can happen? Or a myth or misconception?

Most likely just an assumption that's been passed around. I've never done anything special to prep my dragons for brumation and it's not likely that they all had completely empty stomachs when they go to sleep year after year. If there was proof I'd like to hear it.

Hello,

I agree, I haven't ever experienced that with any of our dragons. While it isn't really recommended to feed
much when they are getting ready to brumate or during brumation, if food is left in their system, it will eventually pass through.
