I can very much relate to that. Yesterday, I was somehow able to sneak up on him while he was basking, and once I get ahold (control) of him, things weren't too bad. I was able to stuff him into his weighing box and get the lid shut, then weigh the tared box.Gormagon":hh7692jg said:I wanted to with Charlie but, he had other plans (very uncooperative little turd), LOL! This would have involved stitches and, a lot of bandaids. So I opted not to do so out of survival, LOL!!!
Y'know, it never even occurred to me to track poop, but I've never had a reason to. He's missed only twice since I've had him, and both were days after fasting to entice him to eat greens. I guess I'd also consider that more tracking health/symptoms than growth (unless you're tracking the size of... nevermind. I have thought of re/nicknaming him Drax. :roll:KarrieRee":wzbo3ns6 said:I keep charts on mine just so I can keep track of them in the winter and when they pooped last
 Did you not read the last line of the chart? 22 weeks this weekend is as close as I can guess; the breeder didn't give us an exact hatching date, but from the average size of the clutch, we figured he was ~6 weeks at the beginning of the chart when we brought him home from the reptile show.KarrieRee":112mp8iw said:Mr Spectrum how old is your dragon?

NOW he tells me. Too late!kingofnobbys":280s8vgl said:if you do length growth charts , only measurement that's useful is vent to snout.

I don't bother with length growth charts , as some have had nipped tails , if you do length growth charts , only measurement that's useful is vent to snout.

I also don't know of any reliably objective way of scoring "stinkiness". :laughhard:

Is this because of a nipped tail? Or is snout to tail considered a standard?
Ofcourse, that makes sense. I just started a growth chart. I will be changing this on my next update.kingofnobbys":1vrq6jos said:McBeck":1vrq6jos said:kingofnobbys":1vrq6jos said:Done grow charts on all my skinks and dragons. Some are up on this board.

Snout to vent is considered a standard ,where snout to tailtip is unreliable , lots of dragons and monitors have nipped tails, and with skinks and geckos ( sometimes tails are dropped and can be regrowing or regrown ( regrown tails are rearly as long as "original issue" tails).
I understand. Having always had pets, I've just gotten into the habit of, "If it ain't sick/irregular, don't sweat it." If he started going multiple times a day--or missed more than a day--or had diarrhea, blood, etc--I'd record that, and keep a closer eye or call a friend. So far, everything (not reported/asked about here) has been fine.kingofnobbys":kmd8svaj said:MrSpectrum":kmd8svaj said:Y'know, it never even occurred to me to track poop, but I've never had a reason to.
