Irritated eye/lethargy

Hey guys
my bearded dragon is having trouble opening one eye

He wont open one eye but every now again he can.
I've tried manuka honey and Colloidal silver

I think the chemical F10SC is irritating it as well as other irritations.

Is there anything else I could try for him?
Maybe a warm bath mixture?
I turned on his CHE & tried to get rid of excess F10SC in the tank.

He definitely perks up when I'm not using F10SC or other irritants.
I don't know if he'll bounce back this time

Can he live like this?
Or should I take him to the vet?

If you use f10sc, it needs to be used with your beardie out of his enclosure and then completely dry to zero fumes before you put him back in. You dilute it as recommended right? (2 ml of f10sc in 1 liter of water..4ml in 1 liter only if you are disinfecting the tank after parasites, infection, etc). As far as how to treat his eye, these folks may help:

If he continues to be sensitive to the f10sc, you may want to stop using it altogether, maybe try a very dilute vinegar and water solution instead? What do you use for substrate?

Hello,

There may be some type of allergy to the F10 or
it just isn't getting cleaned off well enough before
he goes back in his tank.
Are you thoroughly rinsing everything after using it prior to placing him back in?
You could try getting some chamomile tea bags, warmed & moistened, & then using it as a warm compress before his bedtime. Be sure it isn't too hot but warm enough to bring healing & comfort. Place a washcloth over it to help retain some heat for a few minutes.

Let us know how he is doing.

He seems to be doing better after feeding silkworms and leaving him alone with the manuka treatment.
It must be the serrapeptase.

I am rinsing everything but I let the solution sorta dry.
Thanks

usually they chill with eyes closed anyways don't they?

Just an interesting fact..serrapeptase is produced naturally in the digestive tract of silkworms, so they make good feeders to supply this enzyme

Hello,

Yes, as Sue has suggested, silkworms are the source of serrapeptase so feeding them has great health benefits!
I am glad to hear the eye is improving!
