Hey ya I'm new here I have posted a couple of times for some help but never introduced my little boy so here he is. Thorn!
Apparently he was 2 months old so he is about 4 months old now. He is close to 10.5" and weighs about 50 grams. Just curious if that is a good weight/size for him? Any information would be nice.
Welcome....Thorn looks like he's doing good, and sounds like a good size to me!! Such pretty colors My only advice for you is don't feed him on those wood chips!! He might accidentally swallow one and become impacted. Another option is to replace it all together but really the most important thing is make sure he doesn't eat one accidentally...sorry don't mean to nag!! Teehee welcome to the beardie parents club
Yeah I know about the chip but he has chosen to only eat on it. He won't accept food in a feeding tank and will only eat in his tank although he occasionally let's me out a cover down. I always watch him eat due to this but has never swallowed any wood, he actually pulls a face and spits it out and gets annoyed if he missed the cricket, and then hunts it down.
His colours dulled when I got him but he had a good shed and now he is a beauty
Sorry I actually am not very good with beardie morphs......I just have a regular one! As for mbd, I'd say the most common reason is not having a good uvb light and having a lack of calcium on their diet. I've heard of people not researching before getting a dragon and not even getting a uvb bulb for when they are growing up Then they end up wondering why their beardie can't walk anymore! and signs include looking deformed(google image search, and you'll know what I mean), twitchy limbs, swollen jaw, being lethargic and not eating. As long as you have a good uvb bulb and feed your beardie a good diet and supplements, then they're good! Like for Thorn now, it's fine if he's not into veggies yet, just keep offering them. Baby beardies are supposed to get way more protein than veggies, and then as they grow it's the other way around. Just make sure he's getting the calcium/vitamin supplement ! Also I know one way that might entice him to the veggies is putting some fruit in there.....mine goes crazy for raspberries!
