Thats funny. English used to be my best subject, but since taking extra classes to graduate early and taking collage classes Financial Literacy and Marketing 1 have become my best classes lol. in German it's actually "-chen" and "-lein". There not a general rule but for native speaker it's quite obvious which word goes with which.I noticed that in many languages any object or living creature can be turned into the same thing, only small and cute. To do this, just add a few letters to the end of the word. Taco - Taquito, Eidechse - Eidechslein. I tried to find such a rule for the English language, but I couldn't. I wonder if there is something similar in English? (usually to turn something into small and cute I use the adjective little, but this is not quite what is needed and only affects the size of someone or something)
Yes, I've also recognized that (lived and worked for a bit more than 7 years in the U.S.). Also: Keeping how somebody (human, animal, pet) was called when younger to show affection. When the girlfriend is a "baby", when your grown-up dog is a "puppy". In Germany, we won't do it that way; for sure not your beloved grown-up dog is a "Welpe" (German word for a "puppy" with only meaning of a young dog) or your girlfriend a "Säugling". Would be hyper weird. Just the "Baby" sneaked in to show affection to the partner - likely adapted from songs and Hollywood movies. We have a habitat of substituting words to. Interchangeably don't really matter as long as the context works. A beardie for sure isn't a pie in the previous example, but in that context everyone understands what is meant.
Math works for me. It's technical and I'm technical minded (life long mechanic) so it just makes sense to me.Thats funny. Music and art are it for me. Thats to be expected though. I am the emo kid lolMath works for me. It's technical and I'm technical minded (life long mechanic) so it just makes sense to me.
I agree with you, I also like mathematics, logic and physics, and I also have a technical mindset. Yes, studying language and literary works at school was a "problem" for me.Math works for me. It's technical and I'm technical minded (life long mechanic) so it just makes sense to me.
The same for me. (I'm into "art" if it's drawing or constructing something. I love building scale models from scratch, for example. I'm not into music, drama, anything done on the body (like make-up art) or similar things.)Math works for me. The only classes I did good in were science or trade (carpentry, electricity, welding, ect) everything else you couldn't keep me in a seat lol.I agree with you, I also like mathematics, logic and physics, and I also have a technical mindset. Yup. Absolutely! I couldn't imagine not being self sufficient. It's extremely rare I hire anyone for anything.Looks like you're talking about me lol
I am still interested in carpentry and try to do all the work in the house related to electricity or plumbing myself.
Lol it’s a lil long but nice nameThats so cool! My beardie's name is Mirage! We named him this because when we first got him we would let him roam and we would look away for just a moment. Then, poof, he's gone. I honestly thought I was imagining him sometimes lol.
As for a middle name; Mirage also has one (well more than one lol). His full name is Mirage Arroyo Qibli Wiegand lol. Weird I know.
we're doing freaking amazing around here! my daughter and I graduated from college back in June 2023 (can't remember if that is before or after i saw you around here last.) i run the maintenance department for a vacation rental company, covering just about 100 properties with 9 more in the works in the near future. she is taking care of our house and we joke that she is my "housewife". with her autism, this was a HUGE step for her as she had never been home alone more than an hour or two prior to me starting work. she's about to turn 26 next week and is thriving in her new role. to us, what she does is just as much a job as what i do. it takes us both to make our household work. SUPER PROUD MOMMA HERE!!!@hdochow Heyyyyyy how have you been?
