I call him Irwin but my girlfriend has named him Scampers. Irwin has a 40gal breeder tank, has the reptiglo 8.0 UVB, I think a 60 watt house bulb (we tried many different bulbs until we got the right temp), cool side is 80 and hot side 108, substrate is a non adhesvie shelf liner. We have been feeding him greens (only eats them if he is hand fed), and he eats 20-30 crickets a day. He has his cork bark which he loves to basket on and to get him close enough to the UVB bulb there is a pice of drift wood, that you cant see in the pic behind the plant thing, that goes to 2" from the top. He likes to perch himself up there and will usually fall alseep there.
He's very cute. Good luck. You seem to have everything he needs so far. Temps seem good. Just make sure he's able to catch the crickets without much difficulty, because the viv is so much larger than he is. If you notice him start to have trouble, you may need to move him into a feeding tank for feedings until he's a little bigger.
He has absolutely no trouble catching the crickets, and it kind of seems like he makes a game out of it. It's pretty amusing to watch. I just ordered 500 crix and the cricket complete food care kit from premiumcrickets.com
Welcome to the forum! He could be eating a little more, however, if it does start getting too hard for him to find the crickets, I would get him in another feeding tank.
30 is the most I can get him to eat even if I try to hand feed him more he won't eat them. About the separate feeding tank, when I first got him I was concerned that he wasn't going to be able to get the crix because of the size of the tank so I tried putting him in another cage with some crix but he just sat there staring at me like "what were you thinking? put me back now"
