Hey guys, just wanted to show off my little guy. Dezzy (Dez). He is about 6 weeks as far as I can tell, and he is still a little skittish, but I am sure he will come around soon. The breeder I got him from called him "super orange" but who really knows, I think he is cool....anyway. I am sure I will have lots of Q's in the next couple weeks.
Ok, so besides the 5 minutes we held him to take some pics, I am just leaving him alone to get use to his new home. It has been 2 days, and he is not too happy. He is eating crickets, but only when I leave the room. I spy on him from the kitchen and he is eating and exploring. As soon as he sees me or anyone, he freaks out and hides. This is not getting better. He hasn't touched his collard or dandelion leaves, and hasn't pooped yet. My basking spot is at 105.8, and the "cool" side is at 80ish. He seems happy as long as I'm not around. Any suggestions on how to make a bond?
you have only had him/her a very short time, let him/her get used to their new home, he /she should be better in no time. they call what your beardie is doing relocating stress. some babies don't eat veggies right away
I know it sounds crazy but if you place the shirt you wore that day into his tank at night.. he gets use to your scent and they begin to calm down around you. Trust me, i've done this will 3 dragons and it works
