I wanna introduce

These two, but I’m a little worried.. I’ve never introduced two lizards before. Baby is like three X the Size as Little Guy. I would say.. Little Guy’s head could probably fit inside Baby’s mouth. Haha. >.< I feel its better to introduce them NOW rather then later. (when they can do more grown up damage?) or would it be better to wait?

Baby hasn’t been around another dragon for three weeks now. I’m not sure how long there memory is, but he wasn’t fighting with the others in the store, but hes grown a lot since then.

I dont plan to house them together.

Advice/Tips?

make sure they are well fed because digits are mistaken as food. just keep an eye on them and hopefully neither of them are aggressive. you will have to let them push eachother around a little just dont let it get out of hand. dominance has to be established, once that happens they will either get along or not. you may even get lucky and have 2 passive dragons that play.

Dragons do not like playmates.

I wouldn't introduce them to be honest. I see no reason to.

So you will have dragons with missing limbs, they will be stressed which causes them to get sick easily, and one will dominated the other and hog the food and basking spot.

bearded dragons do not like company they like to have their own space and will fight to the death to keep it

many people allow thier dragons out of the cage at the same time to run around the same room. there is no reason to not let them be social. if you house them together yes there will be problems. but she is not housing them together he is introducing them outside of thier homes to one another. as long as they are watched there is no real threat.

Besides the fact that they are NOT social reptiles?

There have been many times where people have let their dragons out together to be "social" and it has resulted in blood shed.

I personally wouldn't take the risk.

And why would you want one of your dragons to feel like its dominated? I know I wouldn't want to feel dominated, and I'm pretty sure my dragons don't want to feel dominated either.

okay, so I'm scared. but regardless. Some day I'm sure they would meet.

Is it better to introduce them now, or when they are big?

At either size they both will be able to cause significant harm to each other if something were to happen.

if you HAVE to introduce them wait untill they are the same size. as i said at their current size the bigger one could eat the little one and that can happen in the blink of an eye. when they are bigger put a leash on both of them and have one person hold one leash and you hold the other so you can yank them apart if start to go for eachother.

EDIT: also do you know what sex they are? if ones a male and ones a female they shouldnt be out at the same time :laughing6: unless you want babies

Ok, I have to come in here.. I have 4 dragons that run around and hang together all the time when out of their cages... Females can be around other females some MAY have issues and some MAY not. I do NOT house them all together, but they do get free roam time in my big bathroom with a basking light. And I'm so sick of hearing people say they are not Social animals. Mine are social with each other. I would NEVER put my males together, however I have 3 females and 1 (8) month old male that can be out together for hours with ZERO issues. Yellow Room Reptiles, and Rio Reptiles have rooms dedicated to their female dragons. I think a little more research needs to be done here on whether they can be out together, because guess what?? THEY CAN!

And, I am not saying that ALL dragons will get along, but I have more that get along than not. And if you could watch these guys interact with each other, I really think you would change your mind about whether they are social creatures are not.. because from what I witness with these guys everyday.. They really truly are.

Just take all the pre caution steps, be in the room, make sure you can grab one of them if they seem aggreesive, and verify they are NOT both males.

I can also jump off a mountain. Doesn't mean I should.
I wouldn't say them tolerating being around each other makes them social.

Definition of the word "social"

1.
pertaining to, devoted to, or characterized by friendly companionship or relations: a social club.

2.
seeking or enjoying the companionship of others; friendly; sociable; gregarious.

3.
of, pertaining to, connected with, or suited to polite or fashionable society: a social event.

4.
living or disposed to live in companionship with others or in a community, rather than in isolation: People are social beings.

I think its a really unnecessary reason to get upset over. It's not in the best interests of the dragon to let them be together unless you are watching them.

We posted our experiences and got called puppets. Nice.

It would seem posting other peoples experiences would be more of the puppet...

I know some people let them out together and have no problems. I also know some people house on sand with no problems. You can go and suggest what you want, but when it comes to the safety of the dragon, I will continue to suggest the safe option.

Gus - he’s a rescue!
How much water should I be giving my bearded dragon? He will only drink from a dropper when I drop on his nose and I’m not sure if I should give it to him until he won’t drink anymore? Or should I stop after he’s had a certain amount?
Just want to check that if my beardie is ok I managed to get a video of him yawning today and screenshot him with his mouth open does he have mouth rot??? He is eating and drinking normally btw, the discoloration on his left of the mouth has been there for a month but the discoloration on his right side is new
