Ive had paco for about 7 months and durring that time he has always had runny smelly poop. I just read that those are signs of internal parasites, but i have also read that runny poop is a sign that he is well hydrated. other than those symptoms, he is acting normal, eaing well, and hasnt lost any weight. Im short on money at the time, and taking him to the vet will suck my dry, so is there anything i can do to help him with out going to the vet?
He eats green beans, carrots, and crickets daily if that helps. I also bathe him every other week.
If the poo is stinky that is almost a sure fire sign of parasites. Since you only bath every other week i doubt he is hydrated to the point that he would have runny poo if he was normally healthy. There is nothing you can do but take to the vet since its near impossible to know what parasite(s) your beardie has, and there, which medicines/treatments to use.
I agree with Brandon, my beardies are bathed every other day and they don't have overly runny poo. I think most experienced beardie owners would reccomend a fecal exam at the age of 6 months. A fecal test and meds now will be cheaper than an emergency vet visit later...
