Interesting results from solarmeter 6.5R!

Just bought one...very useful for setting up new enclosure. My results: 6.5 to 6.9 at dargon level on basking platform directly under the uvb. Moving sideways, he can go from 0.4 adjacent to the light (middle of tank) all the way to 0.0 on the cool side. Since the range for a beardie according to Ferguson index is 2.9 to 7.4 max, I am really higher than Id like it to be with the uvb under the screen and the basking platform 6" high.Im getting my new tank within 10 days and the basking areas will be lower...logs and such, so Im not stressing, but I prob could have placed the uvb on the screen after all. The stuff I keep learning-phew! Thoughts? Im aiming for 3 to 4 uvb in the long run.

Your doing exactly what we need to do. You learn and make adjustments and then learn some more. And you share what you've learned and done, that's how the hobby gets better than
