I'd love to create some vertical space for our girl Thorne- like a loft/2nd floor. What wood would be best for this? Any other ideas of getting creative with safe stuff that can be found around the house? Thanks!

If you can find some hardwood branches that fit, that might be a good way to go. I like using driftwood pieces and others have made good use of grapewood. If you use something from outside, just scrub it down well and then bake it in the oven on low (about 250 or so) for 45ish minutes to sanitize it. You could also create some ramps out of scrap wood if you have that available. I'd browse through the DIY section of the forum for some additional ideas.

I just walked into my room and instead of looking at me, Swordtail's eyes darted directly to the ice cream drumstick I'm holding

What is a quick way to warm up a cold beardie? His heating element went out overnight and now he's very cold.
