Hey, as the title above says I'm very concerned about my little boy. Due to the weather fluctuations here he's been recently treated for a respiratory infection, but last week I started to notice his eyes being droopy and he's lazier than usual. He absolutely does not like greens but we are trying to get him to eat more and due to his lack of eating greens I have already given him a bath and he drank while in it.

He's still doing the puffy breathing, is always in one of his hiding spots (under a log etc.) And due to him barely eating he also almost never poops, his last time was maybe 2 weeks ago again. I do not feel an impaction and he did not do anything in the bath either.

The tank is 150x50x50cm with reptile carpet, UVB bulb is Exoterra 150UVB and his hot side is 35/38c and his cooler is 23/26c

I raised him since birth, around 5 years old and he's always been a bit troublesome with his health but I've never seen the eyes like this before

Hope anyone has some good advice for me here

Hello,

That is great to hear you are using the Reptisun 10 tube, this is a good light. Be sure it is mounted
directly above him at the correct distance for maximum exposure.
How is he doing today?

Tracie
He looks more alert and actually pooped 2 days in a row after not having done so for 2 weeks (wasn't eating that much the past few weeks). I've been giving him some Repashy and Dragon Delite and smoothies with veggies, fruit and some bugs mixed in, I've brought the poop from yesterday to a vet since it had a little bit of red in the urate and I just wanna make sure he doesn't have any sort of parasites! I will update this once I have feedback/the situation changes!

Hey!
I spoke to the vet and she hasn't found any parasites in his poop. I'm trying to get him to gain weight as he is currently only 308 grams, could the eyelids be an effect of him being underweight/a lot lighter than he used to be?

Hello,

When they lose weight, their skin can get saggy, yes. I'm not sure if it would affect the skin on & or
around the eye but it's possible sure.
That's great he is more alert now, I hope he's feeling better. Keep up with the smoothies for good
nutrition, it will help him recover. At least his fecal exam was negative, that's good news!

I'm sad to say that my little boy Mushu has passed away while I was at work, yesterday he was looking a lot better, eyelids back to normal etc, but this morning he was head bobbing but still not looking that bad according to my mom. Sadly enough she checked later on him today and he was gone...

I am so sorry to hear this -- evidently there was another underlying issue at hand--- :( and it is so frustrating not knowing exactly what was going on -- again I am sorry

Hello,

Oh no, I am so sorry to hear about little Mushu, that seems very sudden.
I know it is so hard to lose a precious dragon. There must have been something else going on that you didn't know about. They are very good at hiding health issues.
I am so sorry for your loss.

How much water should I be giving my bearded dragon? He will only drink from a dropper when I drop on his nose and I’m not sure if I should give it to him until he won’t drink anymore? Or should I stop after he’s had a certain amount?
Just want to check that if my beardie is ok I managed to get a video of him yawning today and screenshot him with his mouth open does he have mouth rot???
