Hello there! My name is Teagan and my adorable 7-inch beardie (male? If anyone can help with age it would be helpful) is named Moxxie. We got her from PetsMart as a birthday gift for me. I was originally going to get a ball python. but then there was this beautiful albino corn snake! And about 6 bearded dragons (3 in each enclosure.) And the more I thought about which one I wanted, The bearded dragon kept appearing in my mind. Eventually, I settled on getting a beardie. There were two to choose from. A tan baby beardie who was chill. and a tan, brown, and orange beardie who was a bit squirrelly. but when I held the two I realized that the more active one was meant for me. And he's been bonded to me since day 2. He started napping on me so early and would much rather be on me than in his enclosure. He's been hiding in my hair like it's some kind of cape since day 2 or 3. and now, Ten days of having him and he's getting bold lol! Jumping off of me, Running around. Thinking I'm a jungle gym. But regardless, I love him deeply. Welcome, Moxxie! (I'll supply pictures of him soon)

Congrarz on your new best friend.
If you havent, please read and educate yourself on proper care and diet. These guys are not hard but they have some very specific needs. MUST have good uvb lights (tube type bulbs, avoid the coils they just dont give enough uvb) , heat they need 105ish basking as babies a bit less as adults. They MUST have calcium and vitamin supplements. And hydration it critical for babies, well all ages but babies can dehydrat very quickly. There is a ton of info on this site, and the people her are always willing to help. Again congratz on you new buddy

I've been keeping beadies for almost 10 years. As responsible care takers we should never stop striving to give the best care we can,but that is all we can do so keep up the good work, dont sweat the small things, dont over look the important, and most of all enjoy your dragon. They have HUGE personalities for such small creatures lol.

Yep, his personality is already coming through! what a sassy boy he is. He glares at me for not letting him over sleep lol (he gets 12 hours of day and 12 hours of night)

The basking side of my tank isn't getting up to the suggested 100degrees. Does that mean I need to get a new basking light?
does her poop look healthy?
In your perspective does my baby bearded dragon look healthy or unhealthy? Does she look bloated? she is active and eats very well also she is in her basking spot all day
