are you talking illegal reptiles being sold by someone? Like HOTS, or gator, etc? I would suppose your state's Fish and Game would be a good start.

In the US you don't need a permit or license to sell.

Actually, in many states in the U.S. you are required to have a license and/or permit depending on what you own and what you sell. Some states require a license to sell any type of reptile, you just Google what your state's specific laws are, or contact the Dept. of Fish + Wildlife through Dept. of agriculture. And hots are venomous [ mostly only snakes, but also Gila monsters, ]....believe it or not some states allow these to be sold at reptile expos.

Yes, technically for those types of reptiles, but off of the top of my head I don't know of any licenses/permits for bearded dragons yet? I hope not!
I think the hot snakes should definitely come with a license/permit as too many people get themselves in trouble with those.

To the extent of my knowledge there are no laws regarding buying and selling beardies in the U.S. That would really suck if there was!
