are there any other symptoms i should see other than the yellow skin? the leg doesnt seem to bother her, she eats, runs, basks, everything she normally does with no issues. she has been to a vet, and i have posted here, both have yielded me very little, all i want is a little piece of mind on the issue. the upper side of her thigh seems dark, like murky (not like a shed) murky black instead of murky grey, but the underside is yellow and kinda crusty. i tried lamisil, and betadine soaks with no luck, sometimes when shes getting a bath, some of it will come off, but it comes right back. i am honestly at my wits end with it. the whole issue doesnt seem to phase her, but as her parent im concerned. i can take some updated pics if need be, but i have 2-3 other threads about this issue that are loaded with pics. she just recently shed all 4 of her legs, and on the leg with the discoloration, her feet, toes, and the upper half of her thigh that is normal colored, all shed no problem.
Do you have pictures. Yellow fungus will leave you no doubt of it's presence.
What is the humidity of the enclosure? How are you measuring it? Do you sanitize the enclosure and all decor 1-2 times a month? http://www.beautifuldragons.com/yellowfungus.html
give me a sec, ill get some newer pictures for you guys, we do a full tani sanitize once a month, bake the furniture and everything, and every wednesday, everything comes out to get washed. give me a sec to get the pictures.
nobody seems to wanna do it, the first vet i saw said he had no idea, and after that the nearest reptile specialist is 2 hours away and hard to get an apt with, my kid starts school monday, so thats costing me a fortune. maybe next week i can get her out there, im not sure tho,
I agree. The only true way to fully determine if it is fungal or not is to get the area scraped & have the skin tested for fungus. Otherwise, it is a guess.
Have you started using an antifungal cream yet?
