I'm not trying to be harsh but the reality is that Allie NEEDS a vet asap! I'm sorry but, if you cannot afford it then you seriously need to try to find someone who can get her the care that she needs.
She is obviously suffering
ok, im not sure if you are trying to be condescending here. but that's how its coming across, between work, and 3 kids, the time is more the issue than anything else. i said soon, soon as in the day after tmrw when payday comes around. what "help" do you suggest we get her other than take her to the vet ASAP. nobody here in town will take her, i have looked into this. the vet we saw was a hack. the nearest herp specialist is hours away. im not sure exactly what you want. i don't want her to suffer, and the way you word your post makes it seem like that's what you think. this is starting to cross over into the realm of a personal attack on my morals and the ability to take care of my animal. we are doing everything we can do within our means to help her the best we can. i'm sorry if that doesn't make you happy. if this is not the way you meant things. allow me to apologize in advance. this is hard on us, and we know it's hard on her. but like i said, we do what we can within our means when we can.MissT":1vjjloc9 said:Its not a matter of soon... it is a matter of NOW!
That was 5 months ago that that vet saw her and her condition has been worsening for 3 months now. No vet would be able to deny what this is now - so, regardless of the previous experience you had, I think even the first vet would be able to help if that is the only option!
It is important that she starts getting internal treatment IMMEDIATELY.
It has now been a week since the first post on this thread... another week that she has had to fight this without the medicine that *could* save her life - I know that you have mentioned financial issues but, as I said, if you cant get her the help she needs now, you need to quickly decide what to do, for her own good.
I went to the website you sent me...with all the money issues that have come up, we just can't afford $62 for 40caps. I don't even know how long that would last. Would I have to be buying them every week? Month? I don't even have anyone I could even borrow the money from....and I'm not even sure if I'd be able to pay it back or not.Drache613":11i0b2hr said:Hello,
I do think at this point, you should consider an oral anti-fungal in combination with the topical treatment too. When the fungus reaches that magnitude, it is manifesting from internal to external so it needs to be treated internally now.
You can stay with the Repta aid it is a great product. How is her appetite today?
Poor girl, she does look uncomfortable though.I am glad to hear her weight is stable right now.
