Last night I noticed Mushu had a little bit of red liquid in his urate. Im a little worried because this has never happened before. But this morning again there was some red liquid in his urate again! Im scared he is impacted or constipated!
It appears to be brown + liquidy. That can be a normal stool occasionally but if it turns out like that all the time you could have a fecal test done after you rule out anything different in his diet.
I previously had the walnut shell substrate in Mushus tank but after seeing alot of negative reviews I removed it today and replaced it with the reptile carpet there js still a little bit of excavator clay that is under his basking spot but it is solid and compact.
No red peppers or strawberries. His diet consists of mostly crickets, meal worms, mustard greens. And about 2 days ago we tried a superworm. Other than that his diet has not changed.
It is possible that the ground walnut caused impaction but since he is not totally constipated then it could work itself out. Sometimes any change of diet can change the consistency of the poo. Years ago I had a beardie that had diarrhea the first time he ate superworms and it looked like that.
