Ruby just came out looking for Dora. I played Dora and he's happy.

He faced the TV and was like helloooooooo.

As soon as I cut on the TV, he went to her favorite climbing thing which he is too big for and it's enjoying his day.
He's a happy boy 🙂
I used to have a cat 🐈 (Sparx) that loved the country music channel.

Ruby and my father watch westerns together. I found that interesting as I was curious how ruby views black and white but he loves it.
Did Rocky ever warm up to your pops?

They for sure realize if we or other people are home or not. The last time I had other people watch Luis, while I was on vacation, he was mostly hiding and barely eating until I got home.
I'm my Taco's "primary wormgiver", but from time to time my husband (who first was afraid of reptiles, but now is fine with Taco) has to take over for a week or sometimes even two weeks while I'm traveling for work.
It never happened that Taco was hiding much more, or that he was not eating, but was very reluctant regarding interaction - as my husband avoided interacting with Taco during about the first four months we had him, Taco clearly showed his preferences once my husband finally tried things like hand feeding, touching, or taking him out of the enclosure.
Only since a while Taco (now approx. one and a half year old) allows my husband to pick him up and to take him out of the enclosure, and then hang out with him for a while. Before, Taco was walking backwards when the hand came closer.

I'd like to add to this: When we are gone for more than a day (up to 3 days) and checking in with a camera but nobody coming by, Taco eats, basks and overall behaves totally normal.

I have the impression that Taco, despite being very tame and liking human interaction, isn't that much into "depending" on human interaction.
When I come home, even after 1 week of travel and then my husband was taking care (which in the beginning was just plainly: food in, old food and poop out), and I call him, he might look briefly (or not*) and just continues with what he does like looking out of the window. He won't come running. When I'm coming home after work, he might look briefly like awaiting more worms (I randomly do a bit of hand feeding in the evening).
He's really not the "crazy about humans" type, more the introvert, also into spending time outside of the enclosure with 1 - 5 min snuggling and interaction, and then half an hour of exploring.

* Really like: Okay, has registered, "small wormgiver" is there. Check mark!
Similarly to when I put in food: Not running for it, more like: "Ok, food there, might grab some later on". Check mark!

No and it's only because he still yells at them to come like dogs and they don't lol.
He thinks I've trained them and I tried to explain their unique personalities. However, he thinks repeating their name 5 times would work. It doesnt.

Yes, my silliness comes from him but the difference is that I live an invest in them daily.
He wants a cockatoo so I try to distract his thoughts towards that direction.

We, well I tend to forget that they don't mind isolation. Because I WANT PET INTERACTION, when Ruby looks at me, I'm like , "Do you want to get out?" LOL. He loves his alone time so I respect his space more.

Now Rocky on the other hand, as he was my first and we grew together, Rocky thinks that he's human. He is too good for his enclosure and he feels that he belongs in my skin. I don't mind his closeness,. Rocky goes every where with me buttttt I think that's why he'd been in semi brumation for like 3 months. He's exhausted.

Rocky wakes up daily, we chat as he makes sure that he can see me. However, he won't come out and I won't touch or ask him.
If I'm gone too long, he'll come out and bask. When I return, he resumes semi brumating lol I don't touch him but I check to ensure he is not hungry or thirsty.

I won't leave them or usually one of them for more than a day. When I do, I come back to MAJOR ATTITUDES.

IT'S their world, I just pay for it.

Never get a cockatoo with beardies. My parents have 4 caiques, which are only about 9 inches tall. A couple of them are totally ok with Mirage, but two of them will take any chance they can get to attack him. Now imagine a cockatoo, which is roughly double the size of a caique trying to get your beardie(s).

Can you really feel bad for him though? Sounds like he isn't listening to what Rocky2022 is trying to tell him about the beardies. If anything feel bad for the beardies! Think about how hard it must be to be yelled at all day LOL!
True 👍

a poem by AHBD (THANK YOU SO MUCH! I LOVE IT!)

Sir Henry the dragon
Looking for his dragon girl
Ventures out in to the wide world
His hopes are up but as you can see
There is no dragon girl for Sir Henry
A light bulb goes off and he takes mom aside
Could you perchance get me a mail order bride ?

Hey! We’re the same age! That’s cool!
Hi there a little update we went from a 50 watt heat lamp to a 100 watt basking halogen heat lamp hahaha I saw some comments about it being so close so I made sure to put it a ruler away from her
Has anyone seen this before? Something in the corner of his mouth
Luna is thriving
