I don't know if I shared this story....

about 3 weeks ago, Rocky came out from semi-brumation. I returned from the store and he was in his basking area. I screamed and gave him the biggest hug. He wanted to come out so I let him. He told me! His glow is amazing and how he responds, something tells me that he is just a tad bit spoiled.

So I was laying on the floor and I watched him explore. I reminded him that this is HIS HOUSE and nothing has changed.

The next thing I knew, I was watching TV and he climbed up and laid on me. Remember, Rocky doesn't climb- he walked at least 30 (human) feet all the way towards me and pulled himself up (LOL- not to be confused with climbing)- When he got up there, he rested on my side. I was laying on my side.
I was frozen. All I could think was HE WANTS TO BE WITH MEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

I didn't want that moment to end. There were three other people present and he still chose meeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee. His mommy.
This may be normal behavior but if you know, you know. When Rocky blinks, it's theeeeeeeeeee best blink ever. It's a prolonged blink that makes me run to this website to inquire if he has special powers.

So anyways, eventually, Rocky jumped off (he can jump) and went to the other side of the room so perhaps I literally was just a bridge!
I love him so much.

Oh he absolutely will seek you out. It's adorable when they do that. It validates all the work you put into him. He knows exactly who his HOOMAN is and wants the occasional cuddle

Sometimes they can make us feel like they don't even care about us but some situations can make them drop their facade.
In my experience that is often if strangers are present or we go to the vet
