I need to mix a bit more water in. Two new bags of substrate plus an existing one. The two new were good, but the old stuff had obviously been a bit dryer, but I forgot to account for that.

I hand wove a shade for her as an apology. Not bad for my first time working with palm. Now that I know how to work with it I’ll make a nicer one later. You can see each step I figured something new out. Oh? I can split that? I can split it again too! lol How those splits are worked into the weave make a difference in appearance too. The double knots on the right tie three layers together each time. The splits on the left hold the vertical into the horizontal against the very stiff center.
