Yeah he’s doing so good. He eats very well and I couldn’t be happier on that end. He eats his Mustard Greens, Collards, and Turnip Greens and Kohlrabi leaves. He likes the occasional cucumber as well. He doesn’t care for any fruit which is good as it’s not great for him. He loves his meal worms, Superworms and horn worms. At his vet vist on April 7th he weighed in at 33 grams. As of yesterday he is 58 grams.Hello,
Now THAT is a nice beardie belly shot, he looks great!

You are soooo lucky! Kai only eats a few greens when no one is watching. But today, he ate a dandelion flower! NO ONE is allowed to cut the grass until the dandelions are gone now lol. (We dont use pesticides and the neighbors dont either).Yeah he’s doing so good. He eats very well and I couldn’t be happier on that end. I think it’s because I got him on greens as soon as I brought him home. He mainly does eat greens when no one is looking from his bowl. I do hand feed at times but he mainly likes from a bowl. You are soooo lucky! Kai only eats a few greens when no one is watching. But today, he ate a dandelion flower! I wonder why they do that. I know Kai eats some greens because theres no way that those greens shrunk up that much. I offered greens right from day 1 too but he will NOT eat them from my hand or in front of me.I think it’s because I got him on greens as soon as I brought him home. Yup you got it!I would say just keep trying right.
Can they really eat dandelion flowers? I thought that they only eat dandelion leaves. But today, he ate a dandelion flower! NO ONE is allowed to cut the grass until the dandelions are gone now lol. (We dont use pesticides and the neighbors dont either).
Nope, as long as youre positive there are no pesticides on them (no chemlawn or stuff like that), like if they are in your backyard and you dont spray and your next door neighbors dont spray or have a lawn service, go for it! Dandelion flowers provide vitamins A,C,K and calcium and antioxidants. They have liver and kidney healing properties too. I dusted it very lightly with calcium, not because it needs to be, but my weird dragon actually likes the taste of calcium lol. They are very healthy for humans too, good for lowering BP, cardiovascular health, and preventing cancers! The flower is the most nutritious part! But check first to make sure there are no bugs on them. Can they really eat dandelion flowers? I thought that they only eat dandelion leaves.
Hey, btw, I think it was you (@OctoberSky37) that suggested giving him water from drops from my fingers...that worked great!! Much easier than the eyedropper. I just dribbled it from my fingers while he was in the bath and he drank really well. Thank you!I would say just keep trying right.
I’m so glad and I stumbled upon this because my hand was wet and he started licking it up and I was like well alright then.Hey, btw, I think it was you (@OctoberSky37) that suggested giving him water from drops from my fingers...that worked great!!
