I’m not sure what this is and I’m really concerned 😦

Hey I found this liquid in my terrarium carpet and I’ve never seen this in my beardis terrarium before does anyone know if my baby might have gotten sick or Mabie seen this before

I was going to say the same, it looks like mold. I had carpet when my guy was a baby too. Such a pain to try and keep it clean, and I always worried about mildew as a possibility since putting it in the dryer can break down the fibers. There are plenty of better options out there. Textured nonadhesive shelf liner like you get from Home Depot is a favorite on here, as well as slate tiles with some texture, but not so much that it feels sharp if you run your hand over it. Both can be spot cleaned with a 50/50 mix of water and vinegar. You can put some thick disposable shop towels underneath the tiles to catch any liquid excretion and change them out as they get soiled.

Thank you ! I will definitely be going to Home Depot tmrw to check that out ! I just did a super clean of my tank and put some fresh new carpet in there for now until I get the new flooring for him honestly this forum helps so much !!!!

Don't I know it! I am so lucky to have found this place. I was doing a lot of things wrong because I just asked the guy at the pet store and went off of that. Luckily found this site before he was even a year old, and he is so much happier since the changes! I'm really glad I found this forum before even thinking about Reddit. I go over there now and am appalled at how horrible and toxic people are to new beardie parents trying to learn and get better. Much more supportive and understanding over here.

Yess! I mean I haven’t checked out Reddit but sounds like that’s a good thing lol ! I happened to find this site of a random google search for my beardi and everyone has been nothing but informative and friendly ! Could not ask for a better little online community

This is the flooring in mines…super easy to keep clean and it also came from Home Depot.
