Humidity levels at night

Hey all I have a 2 to 3 month old bearded dragon. During the day, the humidity level is between 30 and 35 with temp around 90 on the hot side cool side about 76is. Night time the temperature in his tank gets to be around 75 but the humidity level seems to be about 46. I seen that it’s supposed to be between 30 and 40. Any tips or tricks on keeping the humidity levels lower at night time? Or is this OK for nighttime?

How are you getting the humidity level? Digital probe hygrometers are the best way to get those readings - place the probe on the back center wall of the tank - humidity levels optimal is 40-50% you dont want it under 20 and over 70%

Yes, it’s a digital one.

Unless your beardie has underlying issues, humidity is pretty much a none issue. I've had beardies in Florida with 98% humidity and I still have beardies in Las Vegas at 2 to 5% humidity. Neither has caused problems.

Really? I was told it could cause respiratory infections. But I feel a little more at ease now. Thank you guys!

I thinks it's more that if your beardie had a respiratory infection it could aggravate the situation. But yeah I've never seen any adverse effects on my guys either way. I stopped even trying to measure it years ago.

I'm also not measuring it and I'm not doing anything to keep it intentionally low.
Of course my dragon isn't living in an intentionally high-humidity jungle-like habitat (like for frogs and such), but I just don't minimize the humidity - I have live plants in the enclosure (which I water daily), and I spray the substrate (desert sand) each morning with water (to mimic morning dew and over time harden the surface of the substrate).

I am glad things worked out. I used fabs, ac and blew on my beardie (OK not the last) to get the humidity right.
They are fine.
I did remember being in another place where it was humid and they displayed discomfort.
I am still working on it but there are some areas where we have to realize that beardies know what they are doing and relax
. Lol
That is not an insult to you but a reminder to me.
But as you know, always ask HERE to be sure.
2 years in and the advice has been golden.

Hey! I'm planning on ordering a 4x2x2 for my next beardie but I'm worried about lighting. I have a UVA and a UVB but they are small (the UVA just being a bulb and the UVB being 12 ish inches?) My house is drafty so I need a strong light that puts off quite a good amount of heat, any suggestions?
