I need to take my beardie Iris to the vet in two days, and I’m not really sure how to go about transporting her. Its averaging around 82-85 F ( 27-29 C) and rainy around where I live, and the drive will take about 6 minutes - 10 MAXIMUM. She’s close to 18 inches, and kind of skiddish, so I’d like to put her in something she can turn around in.
My question is, what’s the best kind of carrier for a lizard her size? And when I figure out what to put her in, how do I keep her warm? She’s sure to be scratching around everywhere so I think wrapping her up is out of the question. Any help would be highly appreciated!
That's a very short drive. I'm envious! She will be fine at normal car temps. Just put her in a big shoebox or a soccer style duffel bag with a blanket or towel at the bottom and that should do the trick. Being able to zip the top most of the way may help her feel more secure, especially if she is around other animals at the vet office. You might want to get one of these for future trips https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B00EW2WKZU/ They clip onto a seatbelt in the car and they are easy to carry and well ventilated.

We bought the smallest dog / cat carrier from Petco- - it has mesh on the sides so Hiccup can see out w/ the top zipping - it was around $50 I think - we have taken him in it 2 times now and he loves going
