I’m wondering what is safe for my baby beardie in terms of cleaner. Is vinegar safe? Vinegar, dish soap, and bleach are the things I have available but I don’t really want to use bleach because of the fumes-how do I clean the enclosure and how often? And how do I spot clean? I clean the poop off of the tile seconds after he’s gone usually, and I use a wet paper towel. I know this doesn’t really disinfect, but I don’t know how else to spot clean. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Dish soap can be quite harmful to the live insects you feed your Dragon, especially if there's any residue left behind which can be quite easy to do. I know you can use heavily diluted bleach, but I forget the ratios, sorry. Vinegar can be used safely from what I have read on this site, but again, you might want to check with an experienced member of this site. I mainly just wanted to mention the dish soap which others might miss.
I spot clean using a mixture of vinegar and water in a spray bottle. It helps clean up solid bits. Once the surface is clean I sanitize it using F10 spray. The combination works really well.
This comes as a concentrate. You can use a small syringe to move some of it to a spray bottle and fill it with water according to a ratio of about 1:250. For example, I use 3ml of concentrate in 25oz of water.
Thank you! Is the extra disinfectant needed or will the vinegar work until I can get it? Also, how do you clean with the vinegar? I rinse it off, correct? I’ve been using a gentle dish soap so far-but that probably isn’t the most disinfecting.
Vinegar is fine for now, it will keep things clean. I just fill a spray bottle about 50/50(ish, sometimes more vinegar). I spray a dirty area and let it sit for a bit. Then wipe it all clean and repeat if needed until the surface is clean.
