Hi everyone,

Thank you for taking the time to read my post and offer advice. I currently have two bearded dragons. Resently I found out my first one has yellow fungus. I've let her run around my entire apt which is carpet. I recently adopted another dragon and I'm worried about the infection spreading to him through the carpet and furniture. Any advise on what I can do? I hate that he isn't allowed to run around after being neglected by his previous owners.

Hi there...probably steam cleaning would be the only way. Are there any rooms that the sick dragon did not go in ? If so, limit the new dragon to that area.

Ahbd is probably right as per usual, but you could look into F10 products. Not sure if they kill yf but I'm sure the manufacturer could tell you if you give them a call

Hello,

Steaming absolutely, that would definitely be the best! I have never used the F10 products for yellow fungus but it would probably be pretty effective!
Is your dragon receiving treatment for yellow fungus right now?

Update! Steaming is the best option according to all my research. It's not 100% effective, but it's better than nothing. I did look into the F10 products and talked to the manufactures. As far as carpeting goes, their products aren't really the best option. If it was just a rug that I could wash and dry it would your work, but no one wants to saturate the carpets. Anyways! Zo's lab results finally came back, my vet was wrong, she has ring worm, not yellow fungus. I have been treaty the infected area with anti-fungal cream for the last two weeks. My vet wants to get her started on an oral medication also. Going to start researching more about treatment of this now!

What is a quick way to warm up a cold beardie? His heating element went out overnight and now he's very cold.

Clapton is acclimating okay I think. He's quick as lightning so I'm not sure how much I should bring him out of his house yet. He's not at all interested in his salad though. I wonder if I should change what I'm giving him. Least he's eating his crickets.

Things to do:
Buy calcium powder
Material to raise surface for basking spot
Scenery decals for back of tank
