How to handle my bearded dragon

Hey guys i got my beardie for about a month and a half but she still seem scared of me. She doesn't bite but i can tell she is super nervous when being handled (heavy breathing and tense tail). That might be caused be the pet shop people handling them by holding only their tails (i was beyond shocked).

I've seen some people say keep handling them even tho they wants to get away, is this good for the beardie's mental health? I've tried a couple of methods such as putting my hand beside them and leaving my scent but so progress so far.

If your beardie is still scared of being handled, you might want to just stick with the smaller steps and work your way up. Let your beardie form a sense of trust for you. You can start by maybe hand feeding it or like you said, laying your hand beside it. You can also try petting your beardie. Keep doing what your doing and gain it's trust. It just needs to get used to your sense and presence.

I miss you so much, Amaris 💔
What is a quick way to warm up a cold beardie? His heating element went out overnight and now he's very cold.

Clapton is acclimating okay I think. He's quick as lightning so I'm not sure how much I should bring him out of his house yet. He's not at all interested in his salad though. I wonder if I should change what I'm giving him. Least he's eating his crickets.

Things to do:
Buy calcium powder
Material to raise surface for basking spot
Scenery decals for back of tank
