How to get my beardie to wave?

i used a cheese grater and shredded some squash...i rubbed it on his chin and he slowly licked the squash. the instant he licked it he started chugging it down. He was looking at me like i was crazy though lol.

I caught Summer waving to her dubia this morning lol, then she went nuts....

She was trying to tell the dubia "please don't hurt me dubia, I am just a lonely dragon" So that she could lure the dubia closer and then all out attack!!! :mrgreen:

That is pretty much what happened. The bin is right next to her tank, so when I was adding them to her bowl she was waving. I put the bowl in and ambush!

My beardie waved to a cricket once, but that's because she was chasing it for half an hour lol

The only times I could remember Newt waving was when I first got him. I thought it was awesome! But now he doesn't do it, that I see at least...and anytime he spots me handling either of my two leopard geckos, he goes flat and puffs out his beard! So is it safe to assume that Newt is a male? I think I will try that butternut squash trick...this morning I shredded up some collard greens with his mealworms, and once he got a mouthfull of the greens instead of the worms...and he SPAT THEM OUT!!...only to eat two of the peices after he finished eating the worms...

why do they wave at crickets? i noticed that to.
Mine will not eat veggies or fruit my vet said give them baby food every now and then so they can get use to the taste man did they eat the sweet potato. They still wont eat a salad or fruit
