Fred shed his tail last eek and now his front arms are shedding really bad. His head is next, think, because he is scratching it a lot on his log. Im wondering how long it will take for him to shed it all. He is miserable right now. Im giving him warm baths to help him out, but he is beginning to hate those, I think.
Im on my frist beardie too, but it seems like they are always shedding, atleast as babies. Lenny is only 2mo.s and I have had him for one month, and every week he has been shedding. His tail goes first then his body sheds, I think it happens quite often until they growth spurt slows down
Darwin just finished his first shed since I've had him a week ago, and is again shedding again on his head. Last time, he shed his head first, then his arms, then his body, and finally literally 2 weeks later shed his tail. A couple days later his head started to cloud, and yesterday started to shed again. It just seems like the little guy is in constant shed.
Darwin hated his baths at first, but just putting him in consistently every day got him used to it. He used to freak out when I put him in, but now will sit quietly in the bath. I usually keep my hand in there in case he wants to climb out.
Mine shed all in one day (Well body) except for his head. Which took an extra day o__O , unless he was shedding before that but nothing was falling off. Hmm
Im really feeling bad for Fred...He's got skin hanging from everywhere and under his log is a LOT that has fallen off. He is scratching a lot and just looking miserable. Hot bath coming tonight again.

I hate when they shed! lol, Lenny's tail just finished and his head is in process and his back will be soon, I haven't ever seen him scratch, but, he is always a crab, wont let me pick him up if his life depended on it
Aww poor Fred Sorry I don't have any advice because I'm brand new to the beardie world, but I just wanted to say Hoku doesn't like baths either. From all the research I've done tho, they're supposed to kind of love water right?
From what I have read, let it take its course, except for warm baths. Fred's cage is a freaking mess right now. There is shed skin all over it. Big pieces, little pieces, in between size pieces...just a mess. And HE is a mess with skin hanging from everywhere!
Actually, shedding is not frightening to them, it's completely natural and skin hanging off is a normal part of beardie shedding. If you spritz him with water a couple times a day, that can help. Of course you don't soak the cage, and the water evaporates quickly. Extra baths = extra stress for dragons that hate them, and are not necessary. Fred will be just fine !
