How long can a beardie sit in a carry-on/Plane to anywhere

How stressful is it for a bearded dragon to sit through a 12-hour plane ride?
With the long airport lines and everything. Getting to the hotel where pets are allowed and everything.?
Do they enjoy these 'trips'.? Has anyone done something to this extreme.?

You'd think they'd die with the long lines and how long it took me and my family to get to and from Mexico.
But apparently, these are hardy creatures. I've never taken a Bearded Dragon to Mexico.

& if it's your ESA, they have to let him go along.
What do you guys think.?

A beardie should have no problem at all, some would be more stressed than others, some would just fall asleep. Remember, beardies are shipped all over the country [ and some to other countries ] every day.

I figured.

I just hope they'd treat him like a carry-on & not a 'barking dog.'
Treated with top priority.

I've been through horrible lines just to get on the plane.
A lot of metal detectors/Detectors.

Hello,

You definitely need to inquire from the Airlines regarding their policies on reptiles being able to fly. As AHBD stated they usually travel pretty well most of the time.
Do you already have a standard sized airline carrier?

Yeah for my cat.
But it's small enough to be used.

It was more so a question if bearded dragons are claustrophobic but I definitely thought about the airline deal when I was last in Mexico.

When I’ve traveled with my pets, keeping the carrier partly covered with a light cloth has worked well to keep them calm—your beardie will probably just chill out and maybe even sleep through most of it.

Just watch the temperature because airports and planes can get cold. A little heat pack (wrapped so it doesn’t touch them directly) can help keep things cozy.

If you’re flying business class flights, the extra space and quieter vibe can make the whole trip way easier, both for you and your beardie. Less noise and chaos definitely help keep the stress levels down.

Please make sure whether reptiles are allowed as carry-on with the airline you would like to fly with.
Most airlines only allow cats and small dogs as carry-on. In almost all cases, reptiles will have to go into the cargo hold (like large dogs), or are freight.*

For international travel, often extra permits are required.

*The reason for this is it's a cold-blooded animal.
Despite, in reality, such a beardie would not be able to do much harm, less than a small dog who potentially could bite: A cold-blooded animal, if it escapes, could hide and can't be found easily - this might disrupt flight schedules as for security reasons, an escaped animal must be found. Also, a dog or cat is easily identified as such, but with reptiles many people are unsure which species are venomous or not, and which could be passed off as others.
So, often a general rule about reptiles applies.

Hey! I'm planning on ordering a 4x2x2 for my next beardie but I'm worried about lighting. I have a UVA and a UVB but they are small (the UVA just being a bulb and the UVB being 12 ish inches?) My house is drafty so I need a strong light that puts off quite a good amount of heat, any suggestions?
cookie event at my library today, quite fun! Made some bracelets for my comrades too, to give them at church in the morning. Got a busy day tomorrow even though I’m off work… i go back on tuesday so atleast I’ll have 2 days off to rewind….then back to hell lol
