When my bearded dragon was little, she got tail rot. We went to the vet and they clipped the completely dead part off and then told us to massage the tail with a warm wash cloth. It's been a few years now and she has gotten tail rot again. I don't think we can afford to take her to the vet and I don't know what to do. I don't know if it is bad or is just needs some care. I'm very worried for the health of my bearded dragon. What do I do?
Here is the picture of the tail. I've heard of using neosporin, but I'm not sure if it is safe. I don't want to make it worse. Is neosporin safe for them?
That's actually not tail rot....who told you it was ? If there's a bit of darkening to the end it can be perfectly normal. You can put a bit of Neosporin on if you'd like, but it doesn't really need anything.
To post it elsewhere, just start a new thread, then you can link this one if you want. But her tail looks O.K

Could be a bad shed causing her to lose circulation in her tail, making pieces fall off. Try a warm bath 1-2 times a day gently massaging the tail. I do a light pinch-pat up down and around the area. I'm currently treating a dragon at work like this and since last week his tail is much better.
