I'm in college and my roommate is terrified of crickets. How can I stop them from escaping? It seems like one escapee turns up every couple of days or so. I've taped over the top of my cricket keeper and the holes. My bearded dragon and anole tanks don't have any holes other than the mesh tops, and I taped up the sides of my toad tank where they could possibly have been escaping from. I use tubes to move crickets and I've never seen one fall out during that. How could they be escaping?? I really need to fix this problem before my roommate gets any more upset about it..
Hmm, I don't know how they could be escaping. As long as you have a proper cricket keeper without any large holes they really shouldn't be getting out. I have never had any issues. I wish I had some advice for you but I am just as stumped as you are! Do you leave the crickets in your tanks for a while? I only have a bearded dragon and make sure they are removed soon after if he won't eat them. The only thing I can think of is they may be escaping some home from one of your tanks.
