So I have a baby bearded dragon and other than feeding and temperatures, I have no idea what I'm doing. My boyfriend swears that when I "pet" him, he likes it simply due to the fact that he didn't bite me, but I read that they flatten out when they are scared to seem intimidating to their predator. Well, needless to say, my beardie flattens out when I try to "pet" him. How do I know if he likes it when I attempt to interact with him?
I've had him since about two weeks before Christmas and s/he is about... I actually have no idea... I got him from a breeder. He's only about 4-6 inches long from head to end of tail.
In which case I wouldnt worry.
Babies are growing so quickly and are so full of energy its highly unlikely they will be "snuggley lizards" at that age.
Keep up the contact and as he grows and calms down he will form a wonderful bond with you.
