How do I know if my beardie is egg-bound?

Hey- my bearded dragon laid her first clutch of eggs two days ago unexpectedly. I found them in her enclosure under her bridge, I’m not sure how many she laid exactly, as I believe she may have ate some, but I found 7 that were hidden under paper towel. She only laid that one day, and I was wondering if she should be laying anymore? I put a container of 50lbs of playsand and water in her enclosure as a “lay bin” but she has not gone in it, and when I’ve put her in there, she just wants back out again. She acted great right after laying on that first day, but now she’s a bit less energetic, and not moving too much around her enclosure. She had went for a swim in her water bowl yesterday for a while, but still no eggs, and she also hasn’t gone to the bathroom in a few days. She has been eating, although she’s been snubbing her greens. Do I need to get her to the vet? She’s also puffing up now. But no black beard.

Can you apply for a care credit card that's for veterinary ?

I applied but because I currently have no income I was rejected, even with trying to apply with my old income.

I’ve asked family, they are willing if need be, I just don’t know if this warrants an emergency visit? Or if she could wait until tomorrow. She’s basking, but her beard is still dark, and she seems stressed or agitated about something. She’s also doing a weird thing with her head? As if she’s scratching her head against the decorations? She just ran around her cage, did the weird head scratching thing, all while still sporting a black beard. She seems normal besides the black beard and the puffing up at me. She also just went to the bathroom, and it was incredibly watery, but again could be unrelated.

Probably can wait until tomorrow but have them be ready with a shot of Oxytocin like the other poster said. If there are eggs in the oviduct she can then be induced to push them out after the shot.

I agree, an x-ray would be a good idea if you suspect she is gravid. Is she still black bearding right now?
That is hard, just losing your job, because everything is so costly. Oxytocin is very effective if help is
needed for inducing laying.
Perhaps a friend or family member could apply for the Care credit to help out?
You mentioned she is still eating though?

Hey, she stopped black bearding last night right before she fell asleep, and she woke up this morning and hasn’t really black bearded at all besides a tiny bit when she first woke up and was a little cold. I’m still debating on whether or not I should take her right away for a vet visit, because now she’s acting pretty normal, and I was wondering if she had just been stressed out by the vet? I’m so very confused on the right course of action here. I had booked an appointment for her for tomorrow, and I think I’ll take her to go get an x ray just because I have the appointment booked already anyways. But I don’t want to stress her out again if the vet was what did it. Lordy lord do these sweet things know how to scare you. This was her basking last night, as normal, and then her this morning, again seeming pretty okay. She is still eating. (UPDATE) I also just walked in to find out she is indeed going through a shed right now, which would explain the weird head scratching thing she was doing yesterday, as well as a possible reason she was stressed and black bearding on and off all day yesterday. She is actively shedding on her mouth, and she’s black bearding a little bit again, probably because of that I’d assume. I’m still thinking about taking her to get x rayed just to rule out anything else. But appreciate everyone’s help so much, thank you all for helping me not lose my mind.

They can be quite confusing indeed! It might be a good idea to get an x-ray just to determine if she
does have eggs or not.
Shedding on her mouth & face area could definitely cause some stress, enough to make her black
beard a little bit. They do worry us to death, I agree!
Is she stil eating normally? At least she is basking, that is a good sign.
Let us know if you do go to your vet appointment & how she is doing.
