Hello I'm new here. I will be getting my first beardie in a few weeks and I've spent months researching them and the right food to give them. I live in Newfoundland Canada and I was wondering if anyone knows a good place I can buy crickets from.
My only problem...or something I'm worried about is when I buy crickets...I know they breed quickly and whatnot but I'm afraid that I will have too many crickets? How should I keep crickets or how do I go about "slowing them down?" I don't want to drown in crickets lol
You would have much more trouble trying to get them TO breed, or at least to lay + incubate the eggs. So very little or no eggs will be hatching unless they are set up for it. I've had crickets as feeders for close to 25 years + had to try very diligently to raise my own [ which I did for a short time ] but it takes a lot of work + specific arrangements in the cricket bin. You will not have crickets reproducing in your cricket bin so don't worry about that.
