i Am having problems with my beardie and hornwo. He loves them but every time I go and feed him one he is still hungry. i got him in October but he has not gotten any bigger in the past couple months. I got him from a pet store and he was almost three times the size as the others in the tank. So I know he is older that I thought he was. They tol$ me that they didnt know how old he was when I bought him. so I don’t know how old he was. I did find out that usually a pet store will get them at around three months old. So im not sure. But with his hornworms he is still looking for his feeding bowl in the morning. I just don’t know how much to give him if he does want more. I usuallly give him hornworms as a special treat so should I give him his normal staple then give him a hornworm later on in the night?

Post a pic of the dragon so we can get a look at him - for a older dragon 6 months and up he needs fresh salads every day under 1 year insects every day -over a year he needs a staple insect 2-3 times per week treat worms are super worms horn worms butter worms meal worms - wax worms fed sparingly -- horn worms 1-3 depending on how big they are and how many you have they grow very fast -- super worms 1-3 every other day along w/ your butter worms and meal worms

He is 19 1/2 inches long and he has only grown 1/2 inch in the past 2 months. I check his length one time a week. He does not eat crickets. He hates them. He used to eat them and loved them but now he likes the different worms. He also eats his veggies everyday. He is a very picky eater. I only give him hornworms maybe one every 2 to 3 days. He loves his hornworms but I don’t like to give them to him everyday. I have seen threads in on this site where people use them as a meal for beardies and no one has told them not to. This confused me because from what I heard is that you shouldn’t which is why I’m asking. If I try to push him to eat something he doesn’t like then he won’t eat at all. This is why I stick to what he wants. He eats wax worms, phoenix worms, meal worms. I am trying to find a way to het silkworms and butter worms to try but it is difficult because I live in MA. The shipping rates are unbelievabl. We also do not have any vendors like that around me. The closest one to me I think is Texas and even they don’t have delivery guarantees unless you do overnight. So it gets costly. But I do want to try other worms with him. Again because he is so picky I have to try things very slowly.

Hey! I'm planning on ordering a 4x2x2 for my next beardie but I'm worried about lighting. I have a UVA and a UVB but they are small (the UVA just being a bulb and the UVB being 12 ish inches?) My house is drafty so I need a strong light that puts off quite a good amount of heat, any suggestions?
cookie event at my library today, quite fun! Made some bracelets for my comrades too, to give them at church in the morning. Got a busy day tomorrow even though I’m off work… i go back on tuesday so atleast I’ll have 2 days off to rewind….then back to hell lol
The head tilt tho! Aaaahhh
